Lucky Emissions or Experienced Engineering
By Andy Smith
Unique solutions for the industry’s emissions problems are not based on LUCK; compliance solutions are based on EXPERIENCE and that’s what the engineering team at ASCHOR provides. When our customers ask the tough questions… Will this unit consistently meet the minimum DRE requirements? What if regulations change, will this unit still be a viable option for my application? If the operating parameters of my location changes, will this unit be able to meet the high and low flow demands? …ASCHOR has their backs.
How You Ask? Experience, Experience, Experience
The ASHCOR engineering team is comprised of industry veterans who not only understand regulations, but were on the front lines in 2002 when discussions of transitioning from venting tank vapors to designing a device to effectively burn the vapors from oil storage tanks began. Our leaders were in the field examining the sites with corporate leadership and site operators and began devising ideas that became solutions.
They returned to the office and began designing a device that could combust VOC’s and also safely operate on a site in a self-sufficient manor. With the feedback of major players and their operators, our engineers were successful.
The Industry’s First Approved Solution
In 2012, the leads of our engineering team became the first to obtain EPA Quad OOOO certification for an enclosed combustor.
Working closely with our clients and navigating the newly released EPA regulations, our engineers successfully completed the third-party testing parameters set forth and achieved the industry’s first QUAD OOOO certification. Since then, they work daily to address the needs of the oil and gas industry with regard to environmental compliance and the control devices needed to meet these regulatory demands.
Pioneers + Partnerships in Enclosed Combustion Devices
Today the ASHCOR engineering team works within our organization and seeks partnerships to leverage the best burner technologies to revolutionize emissions performance. A unit’s ability to meet DRE requirements is no longer the sole decision point. It’s now about DRE, NOx, CO and a plethora of other criteria that must be considered before a solution is adopted. The ASHCOR engineering team recognizes the importance of not only designing from within, but developing and maintaining partnerships with other experienced engineering teams to offer the best combustion solutions on the market.
